Upgrading Syncfusion® JavaScript Packages
2 Feb 20261 minute to read
Syncfusion® regularly releases new volumes every three months, introducing new features and enhancements. Each volume release is typically followed by Service Pack releases that address significant bug fixes discovered after the initial volume release.
It is possible to upgrade to the latest Syncfusion® version directly from any previously installed version; however, follow the recommended upgrade workflow and pre-upgrade checks to minimize disruption.
For detailed upgrade procedures and information about breaking changes, bug fixes, new features, and known issues between specific versions, refer to the Upgrade Guide for JavaScript – EJ2.
Upgrading to the Latest Version
To install the most recent version of Syncfusion® JavaScript – EJ2, select the “Latest Version: {Version}” link available at the top of the Syncfusion® JavaScript – EJ2 Control Panel.

Alternatively, upgrade to the latest version by downloading and installing the desired products from this link. There is no need to uninstall existing installed versions prior to this upgrade.
It’s not necessary to install the Volume release before the Service Pack release. Since Volume and Service Pack releases operate independently, you can directly install the latest version, which includes major bug fixes.
Upgrading from Trial Version to Licensed Version
To upgrade from a trial installer to a fully licensed installer:
- Uninstall the trial installer if required by your environment.
- Download and install the licensed installer from the License & Downloads page.
- For package-based usages (npm), replace trial keys with a paid license key as described in the license documentation.
