Radar Chart in React Chart

Radar

Follow these steps to render a radar series, which plots data points on a circular grid.

  1. Set the series type: Set the series type to Radar in the series configuration.

  2. Inject the RadarSeries module: Add RadarSeries to the services array of the Inject component inside ChartComponent. This registers the functionality required to render a radar series.

Draw type

Use the drawType property to change the series plotting type in a radar chart to Line, Column, Area, RangeColumn, Spline, Scatter, StackingColumn, StackingArea, or SplineArea. The default value of drawType is Line.

Binding data with series

You can bind data to the chart using the dataSource property within the series configuration. This allows you to connect a JSON dataset or remote data to your chart. To display the data correctly, map the fields from the data to the chart series xName and yName properties.

Series customization

Start angle

Configure the startAngle on the chart’s primary X axis to rotate the radar. By default, startAngle is 0 degrees.

Radius

Configure the coefficient on the chart’s primary X axis to scale the radar radius. The value ranges from 0 to 100, where 100 fills the available chart area.

Empty points

Data points with null or undefined values are considered empty. Empty data points are ignored and not plotted on the chart.

Mode

Use the mode property to control handling of empty points. Available modes: Gap, Drop, Zero, Average. The default mode is Gap.

Events

Series render

The seriesRender event fires before each series is rendered and lets you modify series properties such as data, fill, or name. For a radar series, use it to change a polygon color or swap data sources on the fly.
